Having a sustainable transportation program is a benefit to employees, which allows employers to attract and retain top talent, expand labor pools, reduce parking demand, and demonstrate environmental responsibility.
Ride Together Pierce, a Pierce County program that encourages the use of sustainable transportation options, annually recognizes Pierce County employers who are putting in effort to increase sustainable commutes taken to their worksite(s) through the annual Best Commuter Business program.
These Best Commuter Businesses are determined by participating employers’ commuter program elements (such as subsidies, teleworking, fleet vehicles, etc.), performance (employee participation in the program) and employer engagement. Click here to learn more about how employers are scored.
The program, now recognizing its fifth round of designees, is excited to announce the 36 worksites who showed great effort in reducing their employees’ drive-alone rates in 2025.
